FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE · EVANSTON, ILLINOIS
Answers first.
Then a plan you can actually follow.
Most people arrive here after years of normal test results and no explanation. We start by measuring what was never measured, then build a protocol around what we find.
90
Minutes in your first visit
Enough time to take a full history, not a symptom list.
80+
Markers in the core panel
Thyroid, metabolic, inflammatory, nutrient and hormonal, read together.
14
Days to your written protocol
You leave the review visit with the plan in your hands.
Normal is a range. It is not the same as well.
A result inside the reference range tells you that you are not in immediate danger. It does not tell you why you are exhausted at two in the afternoon, why your cycle changed, or why the weight will not move. Those answers live in the pattern between markers, and the pattern is what we read.
WHO WE SEE
This practice is built for people who have already tried the ten minute appointment.
THE PATH
Four stages, mapped before you commit to any of them.
01
Discovery call
Twenty minutes, no cost. We establish whether this practice is the right fit before anyone pays for testing.
02
Full workup
A ninety minute intake plus the core panel. Existing records and prior labs are read alongside the new results.
03
Your protocol
A written plan covering nutrition, targeted supplementation, sleep and movement, sequenced so it is achievable.
04
Retest and adjust
We remeasure at twelve weeks. The plan changes when the data changes, not on a fixed schedule.

READING THE PANEL
Your results come back explained, not emailed.
Every patient gets a review visit where we walk the panel line by line. You see which markers are optimal, which are drifting, and which explain the symptom that brought you here.
You keep the annotated report. If you leave this practice, it goes with you and any physician can read it.

YOUR PHYSICIAN
Dr. Priya Raman, MD
I trained in internal medicine and spent nine years in a hospital system where the average visit ran eleven minutes. I left because I kept meeting patients whose labs were technically fine and whose lives clearly were not.
Thrive is the practice I wanted to be able to refer those patients to. Board certified in internal medicine, fellowship trained through the Institute for Functional Medicine, and deliberately small so that every panel is read by the person who ordered it.
She was the first doctor who looked at eight years of my records before she looked at me.
Rachel M., patient since 2024
PATIENT OUTCOMES
What changes when someone reads the whole picture.
Three years of being told my thyroid was fine. Dr. Raman ran the full panel, found antibodies nobody had checked for, and had me on a protocol within a month. I got my mornings back.
Danielle O., 41, Hashimoto's
I came in for weight that would not shift and left understanding my insulin, my cortisol and my sleep as one system. Twelve weeks later the retest showed it in the numbers, which is what convinced me.
Marcus T., 53, metabolic health
Questions people ask before booking
Thrive is a direct pay practice, which is what makes ninety minute visits possible. We provide an itemised superbill you can submit to your insurer, and most lab work is billable to insurance directly.
No. We work alongside your primary care physician and any specialists you see. With your consent we send them the annotated panel and the protocol.
The discovery call is free. The intake visit plus core panel is quoted on that call, in full, before you book anything. There are no surprise charges after the fact.
Yes. Patients across Illinois are seen by video, with lab draws at a location near you. In person visits are available in Evanston.
Most patients notice a change in energy and sleep inside six weeks. The twelve week retest is where we confirm it in the markers rather than relying on how a week happened to go.
Start with the masterclass. It costs you forty minutes.
Dr. Raman walks through the five markers she checks first and what each one rules in or out. Watch it before you decide whether to book anything.
